Robert Conrad
As a child I enjoyed going fishing with my father. I always dreamed of becoming a professional fisherman, but of course, life happened, and I put off that dream. Now that life has fallen into place it is time for me to reach for my dreams again. My goals as an angler are to advance my skills to become a professional and ultimately to compete globally. Another goal would be to keep kids interested in fishing/outdoors activities. I have supported this goal through organizations like The Ike Foundation. I strongly believe that if we can keep the younger generations interested, we can keep the sport alive.
My angling experience covers a wide variety of species and fishing types. As a child, I started charter fishing the coast from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to New Jersey. In my teens, I set a junior state record for the state of New Jersey by being the youngest angler to catch a Blue Marlin in the Ocean City, New Jersey Billfish Tournament. As I travel the country I try to wet a line in every and any body/type of water. From freshwater to saltwater as long as there are fish, I am there. If I can’t get there with my Tracker Boat, I try my Kayak or wade the rivers and streams. My experience is never ending and will continue to increase.
I am currently on the Pro Staff for One Bad Bass apparel based out of Ontario, Canada & have recently been brought on as their Brand Ambassador promoting on Twitter and as I travel the country.
