Ross the inventor of Hook-Eze, that nifty little gadget that makes tying hooks not only safer, but a whole lot quicker and easier, designed Hook-Eze with the user in mind. It was important that the barbs of the hook be protected in the case, while the spinning ring on your finger makes twisting the line a breeze.
Slip ring over first knuckle of ring finger, holding Hook-Eze as shown (above).
Open lid, place hook over selected pin.
Close lid, securing hook safely in the device. Thread fishing line into eye of hook, rotate hookeze in either direction to form 3 to 6 full twists. Pass tag end through first twist, gently tug line so knot begins to form.
Do not pull tight yet.
To lock knot, pass tag end through the loop which has formed at top of knot.
Moisten line then simply hold hookeze as shown & pull tight to secure.
To trim excess line after securing knot, place line around trimmer on the back of your Hook-Eze & pull on the hook to cut. You are now ready to bait your hook.
